Program Features

  • Three starts: September, January, May
  • Choose from three options:
    1. Master's degree combined with a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (Tier I)
      • Four core graduate courses
      • Eight Preliminary Administrative Services Credential courses
    2. Master's degree without the credential:
      • Four core graduate courses
      • Eight courses related to the program and your interests
    3. Preliminary Administrative Services Credential only
      • 12 to 27 units, depending on the number of transferable units from other applicable graduate work
      • If you’ve been recommended for an administrative appointment in a district you may be eligible for an administrative internship. This requires registration in a one-unit practicum course each term.
      • You must have worked in a position requiring a preliminary teacher or service credential for three years prior to receiving the certificate of eligibility for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential. Once you acquire an administrative position, you can apply for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.
  • End with a master’s project and exit conference
