Program Features
- Small class size

- 14-week student teaching occurs at the end of the program
Coursework and field experience:
- An educational foundation course
- Four methods-related courses, accompanied by:
- Two early field experiences in the public school system
- The first two task-segments of the Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA), a state-mandated interactive examination that must be passed prior to recommendation for a credential.
You may begin student teaching and the final seminar course after you complete required program competencies with a 3.0 or higher GPA and successfully complete the first two TPA tasks. You must also have passed the California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET).
